Wine Club Terms & Conditions
By registering as a member of Cloudy Bay Wine Club, the Pelorus Circle (the “Club)”, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1. Membership Requirements
1.1 Under New Zealand law, members of the Club must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Membership Commitment Details
2.1 A six-pack of Cloudy Bay wines will be delivered to the member’s nominated delivery address four times a year for $290 per delivery (the “Club Payment”).
2.2 The member will receive their first Club sixpack on the next calendar quarterly shipment (January, April, July, October) and every three months after.
2.3 As per clause 7.2 & 7.3, members can opt-out any time by providing written notification no later than five business days prior to the end of the month preceding the Club dispatch.
3. Membership Benefits
3.1 Access to museum wines, limited editions and exclusive offers.
3.2 Invitation and access to member-only events
3.3 Annual VIP tour and tasting at the Cloudy Bay Cellar Door in Marlborough or Central Otago for the member and up to 3 guests (visit must be arranged at least 3 business days prior to the visit).
3.4 Complimentary glass of Pelorus for the member and one guest when visiting Marlborough and Central Otago Cellar Door, up to 6 visits a year.
3.5 Access to a Cloudy Bay wine advisor and the chance to send questions to the winemaking team.
3.6 Free shipping on wine club shipments within New Zealand.
3.7 Exclusive member prices on all wines retailed at the Cloudy Bay Cellar Doors and Online Store.
4. Membership Benefits Rules & Restrictions
The aforementioned Membership Benefits are subject to the following rules and restrictions:
4.1 Club members are eligible for all Membership Benefits from date of membership sign-up.
4.2 The annual VIP tour and tasting at the Cloudy Bay Cellar Door in Marlborough or Central Otago for the member and up to 3 guests must be arranged at least 3 business days prior to the visit.
4.3 The exclusive member prices are valid on all wines retailed at the Cloudy Bay Cellar Doors and Online Store. Merchandise and wines purchased for consumption on-premise are excluded.
5. Membership Payment
5.1 By joining the Club, the member authorises Cloudy Bay to debit his/her credit card with an amount equivalent to the Club Payment within the first week of the month of dispatch.
5.2 If the member’s nominated credit card account is changed or reaches its expiry date, the member must provide updated details no later than five business days prior to the end of month preceding Club dispatch.
5.3 If the member’s registered credit card account is invalid, including an outdated expiry date, all membership benefits will be suspended until such time as valid credit card account details are provided.
6. Membership Shipping
6.1 Cloudy Bay only dispatches Club wines to New Zealand residential addresses that are recognized as valid shipping addresses by Post Haste service.
6.2 Shipping is free for all Wine Club case shipments and shipping cost is free for online purchases of 12 bottles or more.
6.3 Post Haste’s "Signature Required" system applies to Cloudy Bay deliveries and a signature is required. If there is no one at the delivery address, Post Haste will leave a card and deliver the wine to the nearest depot post for collection. Proof that the person collecting the items is the recipient and in legal age to receive the goods will have to be shown. Alcohol is not handed over to persons who evidence themselves as being underage.
6.4 The member will be responsible for any additional shipping charges plus a 10% administrative fee for all returned and/or re-shipped packages due to the member’s failure to provide correct shipping details and/or their failure to collect their wine from the Post Office.
7. Membership Deferment and Cancellation
7.1 Club members can defer or cancel their membership at any time.
7.2 Written notification of cancellation is required via email@example.com no later than five business days prior to the end of the month preceding Club dispatch.
7.3 All member benefits will cease upon cancellation or deferment of the membership.
7.4 A membership will automatically continue unless written notification of cancellation is received.
7.5 Cloudy Bay reserves the right to terminate a Club membership or Club member benefits at any time without notice.
8. Member Data Collection Information
8.1 It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that their personal details and online profile is accurate and up to date. Cloudy Bay is not responsible for changes made to the member account by the account holder and/ or any other persons with the account holder’s access details.
8.2 Requests made to Cloudy Bay to update member details must be made in writing.
8.3 Cloudy Bay will only use personal information provided on the Club application form to send Club wine purchases and winery news that may be of interest to the member, such as, but not limited to, tastings, exclusive offers, events and new release information.
8.5 Members may opt out of receiving e-communications from Cloudy Bay at any time.
9. Conditions Subject to Change
9.1 Cloudy Bay may at any time and at its sole discretion change these Terms and Conditions. Any such changes will be communicated www.peloruscircle.co.nz/club-terms-conditions. Your continued membership following any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with the variation, you may terminate your membership by written notice to Cloudy Bay via firstname.lastname@example.org.
